We Support:   

Research  

Stable and predictable funding streams for the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the National Center on Health Statistics     

Prevention  

Proven preventative measures aimed at improving the cardiovascular health of all Americans including obesity prevention, tobacco, public funding for prevention, and air pollution.

Quality Care  

Health equity for minorities and women, evidenced based, high quality cardiovascular care, stroke prevention and treatment programs, rehabilitation services and telemedicine.

Access to Care   

Adequate and affordable health care coverage, appropriate systems of emergency care for stroke, STEMI, and sudden cardiac arrest, CPR training and access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and cardiovascular surveillance systems.

Stroke   

The creation and enhancement of high quality stroke systems of care including: prevention, community education, notification and response of emergency medical services, acute treatment, and rehabilitation.
